I think the logo with the just the A and U the looks better indeed. And also just the two stripes not the lining as a whole makes it different.

I prefer the bottom one, because it's a simpler, more elegant take on the line in the middle of the font which makes it interesting

Thank you for the logo. This is the type of logo I am looking for. If you have more variety's in this same setting they are welcome. Maybe something without the stripes.
